The 14th Annual High School Mathematics Contest at the University of South Carolina is scheduled for Saturday, January 15, 2000. All South Carolina high schools are cordially invited to participate. Our goal is to stimulate interest in mathematics among high school students and to recognize those who exhibit exceptional talent. At the conclusion of the contest, prizes will be awarded to outstanding individual participants and to winning teams. Prizes include a four-year full tuition scholarship, a four-year half-tuition scholarship, and a four-year quarter-tuition scholarship to attend USC.
Application forms were sent to all South Carolina high schools on October 29.
Addresses for these schools are obtained from the
State Department of Education's list
